What is Clubmugs?

The Clubmugs studio produces full-wrap dye-sublimated mugs with a focus on great design.

 

Who makes your mugs?

We do. We source the best quality blanks available in Britain or Europe. We design in-house then print, dye-sublimate and dispatch from our studio in Belfast.

 

What sort of mugs do you use?

We only use one style and pay more for the quality of ceramic that we want. Our ‘Durham’ style mugs are brilliant white, straight-sided 10oz vessels with a nicely proportioned handle and a lovely weight and balance. Not too heavy and not too delicate either. Whether you prefer a builder’s mug or a bone china mug, you will love this one. We take the quality of our stock very seriously! It is easy to pick out our mugs against cheap China imports.

 

What printing process do you use?

We use the best inks and paper available to produce our artwork. We dye-sublimate each mug by hand in our studio. We sublimate our mugs in commercial ovens rather than in standard hand-presses. This takes longer however it means we can do ‘full wraps’. A full wrap goes top-to-bottom and handle-to-handle. It's a much nicer product and worth the extra effort. The dye-sublimation process along with good quality ceramics ensures our mugs are 100% dishwasher and microwave safe. The image becomes part of the mug and does not scratch or fade. However some dishwasher chemicals can be harsh so we recommend hand-washing.

CLUBMUGS FUNDRAISING IDEAS & PROMOTIONAL MUGS

Mugs as fundraising ideas, how does that work?

Invest in our mugs by the case then sell them to squads and supporters. You can easily double your money. Our designs look great and people are happy to pay at least £8.00 for them.
 

Are there any hidden costs or set-up fees for Clubmugs or promotional mugs?

No. Design set-up is part of our service. The price we quote per mug is the price you pay.


 

ARTWORK

How should we prepare our artwork for upload?

We can work with any file type; simply send us the biggest file size you have available. Send to hello@clubmugs.co.uk.

 

Can we put our sponsor’s logo on our mugs?

By all means. In fact Clubmugs can be used as a good angle to help secure sponsorship. If your club sponsors pay for your mugs, they get their logo on board too. We have designs that can accommodate a discreet sponsors logo that will not detract from the overall design. 
 

We really cannot find a decent file of our club badge or company logo..

Then photograph (or send us) a club badge from your kit or uniform. We will photograph it for you or create a new graphic file based on the original.

 

Can you design a new logo for us?

We certainly can. Get in touch and we can have a chat.


What other information can we put on our mugs?

It’s entirely up to you. For companies we suggest a strap line and contact details as well as your logo and website. For clubs we suggest a club badge and website, plus any club mottos or achievements you would like to commemorate.

 

Do we see the design before the mugs are produced?

Absolutely, we will email a design proposal to you for approval. We will not go into production until we get the green light from you. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions below for a word of caution. Once you have signed-off or agreed the design we send you by email, this is precisely what we will produce. We always attempt to resolve issues amicably in the first instance, however we cannot be held responsible for any errors in design once they have been approved.


 

LEAD TIMES & SHIPPING

 

How long does the process take?

Lead-times vary according to how busy we are. As a rule we can have mugs designed and delivered within a fortnight. Please let us know if your order is urgent or you have a deadline and allow for busy periods such as the run-up to Christmas.
 

How do you deliver?

We use Fastway couriers. Mugs ship in cases of 36 units.

Are your football mugs official merchandise?

No. Our mugs are 100% unofficial and no endorsement by any club, national side, manager, player or estate thereof is implied. Our designs are created in good faith with passion and awe by fans for fans. They are intended as a respectful celebration of the iconic moments and legendary figures associated with The Beautiful Game. If we have inadvertently infringed on any copyright please let us know immediately and we will remove the relevant item.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
 

NOT RECEIVED YOUR ORDER?

If you live in the UK and have not received your order within 5 days of the receipt of your dispatch email, please check with your local Royal Mail sorting office to see if they are holding a parcel for you before getting in touch. We ship worldwide. Please allow a few extra days for Ireland and the rest of Europe and 14 days for worldwide sectors.
 

ORDER RECEIVED DAMAGED?

Please contact us immediately by email with clear & bright photographs of the packaging, product and damage. We will replace individual mugs as long as the photographic evidence and time frame clearly indicates that Royal Mail, Parcel Force Worldwide or Other Couriers are responsible. We parcel cases of mugs very well and ship all over the UK and Ireland every week. In the event of damage please send photos immediately of breakages and packaging. We cannot claim compensation from our couriers as no courier will insure against ceramics. As a gesture of goodwill we will split the cost with you where the courier is at fault.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

Clubmugs shall not be held responsible for any liability to deliver in consequence of war, changes in fiscal policy, strikes, lockouts, fire, breakdown, extreme weather or any other contingency beyond our control.

No guarantee or warranty as to the rate or time of delivery is given or implied notwithstanding the rate of delivery provided for. Clubmugs reserve the right to revise delivery dates in the event of circumstances both within and beyond our control. We will notify you immediately of any delay to the anticipated delivery time with the option to cancel your order. If you choose to do so we will issue a full refund.
 

RETURNS POLICY
 

1-We guarantee that if your order is not free from defects in materials or workmanship within reasonable expectation* you may return it for a prompt refund provided you follow our Returns Policy as set out here.

2-We will accept a return or exchange on any order within a reasonable consumer ‘cooling off’ period as long as your mugs are not personalised. Personalised items may only be returned for refund if there is a flaw or error with the product or production. That flaw or error must clearly be the fault of Clubmugs. If the artwork on your item matches the artwork approved by email prior to production without any alteration** any typographic or design errors will be deemed to be the responsibility of the customer. Clubmugs will not be liable for a re-print in this event. Clubmugs will not issue a refund if artwork that has been approved by you, the buyer, is proven subsequently to contain an error.

3-If you change your mind about any purchase that is not personalised you may return it within 7 working days for a refund that will not include postage. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. You are obliged to notify us immediately following delivery of any shortages, defects or any other complaint you may have, with photographic evidence where appropriate. If authorised, Clubmugs will issue a Returns Code that must be clearly indicated on the packaging and returned items. No returned items will be accepted or refunded without prior authorisation by Clubmugs and a Clubmugs Returns Code.

If authorised, goods are to be returned within 7 working days of the delivery date. Refunds will not be issued after this time unless Clubmugs are deemed to be at fault, and only upon receipt of the defective item(s). Return shipping costs are calculated using the lowest available shipping costs. No cancellation of goods already in transit will be accepted. Should the customer refuse to accept goods on arrival, the customer will be responsible for the cost of both shipments and any loss of profit incurred.
 

*Clubmugs mugs are designed, printed and produced by skilled eye and hand. They are not factory or machine printed and therefore minor inconsistencies are to be expected. This is a hallmark of individually handmade goods. These inconsistencies can be, but are not limited to, slightly offset designs top-to-bottom, (no more than a couple of millimetres) slight feathering at edges, slight differences in colour, shade or density.

The sharpness of the image wholly relies on the quality of the original artwork supplied by the customer. Pixilation is to be expected on low-grade images.
 

**All computer screens and mobile devices display colours differently. A blue displayed on your phone will look different on a home laptop or office computer. It will look different again on our screens. These inconsistencies must be factored into expectations.

Furthermore, the colours you see on any screen are generated by ‘light’. Colours in print are generated by ink and occupy a fundamentally different spectrum. We use professional calibration tools regularly to ensure our screens maintain true and optimal display results. We calibrate our dye-sublimation printer profiles accordingly and take this as the truest point of colour reference for all artwork created and printed by Clubmugs.

 

ORDERS

 

All orders for goods shall be deemed to be an offer by you, the buyer, to purchase goods from clubmugs.co.uk pursuant to these terms and conditions. You, the buyer, shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details you provide on the order form. Clubmugs is not obliged to accept an order unless all details requested have been entered correctly. Clubmugs are entitled to refuse any order placed by a buyer and are not required to provide an explanation.

All orders are accepted subject to availability of stock items and/or raw materials and on the understanding that Clubmugs will not be held responsible for any loss or delay arising from contingencies beyond our control. You will be issued with an electronic receipt to your email address when you place your order.

All orders for personalised Clubmugs or Promotional Mugs must be accompanied by good quality artwork in the form of a logo, badge or equivalent. No design work will be undertaken until payment in full has been received and cleared through the Clubmugs (Fine Art Imaging) merchant bank account.

Production, ie printing of mugs, will only commence when the artwork has been approved electronically by the appointed point of contact, as indicated on the order form by the buyer. Approval of this artwork will be taken as an instruction to proceed. Your mugs will be printed utilising this exact design which you, the buyer, has approved and signed off. Typographic, numeric, logographic, colour, layout or any error otherwise in the final product will only be deemed the responsibility of Clubmugs should it deviate from the artwork approved by the buyer and within the boundaries of reasonable expectation as outlined above in the Clubmugs Returns Policy.
 

WEBSITE

We make every attempt to ensure that the information on the Clubmugs website is accurate at all times. All images, product information and display of the goods on the website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. All designs and images are copyright of Clubmugs and cannot be used without prior permission. Clubmugs reserve the right to amend prices at any time.

 

COPYRIGHT

All images, design, branding and products are the exclusive property of Clubmugs and are protected under the United Kingdom and International Copyright laws. The images may not be reproduced, copied, transmitted or manipulated without the written permission of Clubmugs. Use of any image or part thereof as the basis for another photograph, concept or illustration (digital, artist rendering or alike) is a violation of the United Kingdoms and International Copyright laws. All images are copyrighted © Clubmugs. This applies to all Clubmugs, Football factory and Carte Postale images, designs, concepts, including brand concept and products.

 

In respect of football mug designs, all designs are 100% unofficial and 100% unendorsed. Archival images are employed with respect and in good faith. No endorsement by club, national team, manager, player or estate thereof is implied.

Unless otherwise stated in writing and signed by a proprietor of Clubmugs, these Terms & Conditions apply to all web orders placed with Clubmugs. An order for goods placed by you, the buyer through our website shall be subject to these terms and conditions. All other terms and conditions express or implied by statute or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect the statutory rights of any consumer. Clubmugs is a brand name of Fine Art Imaging, Northern Ireland.
